Filters: date, matchup, region and more

The filter bar at the top of the analyzer decides which of your games filtered views count. See the defaults, pick a matchup, and find and clear every active filter.

Updated For players

Using filters

The summary lists your date range, game type, game size, regions, length and any matchup. Filters counts all facets that differ from the defaults. On a computer, date, matchup and region stay inline; open Filters for the other choices. On a phone, Filters opens the complete editor, with Reset to defaults and Done at the bottom. Changes apply immediately.

Use Enter or Space to open a filter picker. Escape closes the current picker and returns focus to its button. On a phone, the Filters editor stays open when you close its date or length picker; press Escape again to close the editor. Tab stays inside that phone editor. On a computer, the filter popovers let Tab continue to the rest of the page. Choosing a date or pressing Apply commits that picker; closing it without applying does not change the active filters.

The filter bar sits at the top of the analyzer. Opponents and each opponent's page, Strategies, Trends, Macro, Maps, Builds and Replays use these filters. Today includes cards with their own scope, listed below. Arcade and the page for a single game ignore the filter bar.

The defaults

A fresh view counts your ranked 1v1 ladder games in the current season, from every region, of any length, with too-short games hidden. The date range defaults to Auto-track current season, which follows the live season catalog. Too-short games are replays under 45 seconds: disconnects and instant leaves where no build order happened.

FilterDefaultWhat it does
Date rangeAuto-track current seasonFollows the current ladder season. You can also pin a numbered season, choose a patch or quick range, or enter your own dates.
MatchupAllOnly games against one race. My race appears when you have games as more than one race.
RegionAll six onTap a region to hide its games. PTR is the Public Test Realm.
Game typeRanked ladderRanked ladder, Custom games (including unranked), or Both.
Game size1v11v1 games, team games, or All.
LengthAny lengthGames under 10 minutes, 10 to 20, 20 and over, or a custom range.
Hide games under 45 sOnLeaves out games under 45 seconds.

Your choices are remembered on this device, so the next visit opens the way you left it. Existing date choices and saved views stay as selected. Choose Reset to defaults to return to Auto-track current season. A numbered season stays pinned; Auto-track moves to the new season when the catalog updates.

Patch presets

The first three date choices split your games by patch, using each game's own game version rather than its date: After 5.0.17 · 12 workers (the current game), 5.0.16 · 8 workers (the patch that started players on 8 workers) and Before 5.0.16 · 12 workers. Openings and timings change with the starting workers, so keeping the patches apart keeps your numbers comparable. The other choices, such as Last 30 days or a season, go by date.

Too-short games

Games under 45 seconds are disconnects and instant leaves where no build order happened. Hide games under 45 s leaves them out of filtered analyzer sections by default. Turn it off to count them too. Arcade and individual game pages keep their own scope.

Pick a matchup

  1. In the filter bar, find Matchup and choose vs P, vs T or vs Z. Filtered views now count only games against that race.
  2. If you play more than one race, use My race next to it to pick yours, for example Zerg and vs P for ZvP.
  3. Choose All to see every matchup again.

With a keyboard, Tab to the matchup and use the arrow keys to move between the choices.

See and clear active filters

Whenever a filter differs from the defaults, the Active filters row under the filter bar shows it as a chip, such as Opponent race: Zerg or Regions: NA, EU. Views may also have their own search or Min games control. If a number looks too low, check both this row and the controls beside that view.

  • Select a chip to remove that one filter. It goes back to its default.
  • Select Reset to defaults to put everything back, the date range included, and to clear any picks made in Strategies.

Filters picked in Strategies follow you across filtered views

When you pick My build or Opp strategy in Strategies, that filter applies to filtered analyzer views (including Games in range, Opponents, Trends, Maps and Builds) until you clear it. Its chip says set in Strategies. These two reset when you reload the page; everything else in the filter bar is remembered.

Save and share a view

Copied links also keep section controls: replay search, result, matchup, sort, date and page; opponent search, MMR impact and sort; a Strategy view and its open games sheet; Builds search; Arcade tab; and a focused map. Back from a replay restores its page and scroll target. Opening a Strategy sheet adds one history step, so Back closes it. A sheet opened from a copied link closes without leaving the section. Search edits update the link after a short pause.

Use Copy link to this view beside Active filters to share the current filters and section. A link opens the recipient's own games with those filters. It does not grant access to your history. Date presets such as Last 30 days roll forward; a selected season keeps that season. If copying is unavailable, select and copy the link shown in the field.

Open Views in the filter bar to save up to 12 named views to your account. Save current view keeps the filters and section, including a build or map drilldown. Apply reopens it; Rename changes its name; Delete removes it. Names must be unique. Set a view as default to open it on the first plain Today visit of a browser session, ahead of the older Default tab setting. Clear default view to use that setting again.

The address updates as filters change without adding a browser history entry for each edit. Back and Forward restore filters carried by a link. URL filters take priority for that session and do not replace the normal filter choices remembered on this device. Opening a plain analyzer page in a new session restores those device choices; build and strategy drilldowns are never saved to device storage.

On a phone

The summary and Filters button stay at the top. Tap Filters for every control, including the date range. Large touch targets, Reset to defaults and Done keep the editor usable on a small screen. The Active filters row works the same as on a computer.

Cards with their own scope

  • Games in range on Today follows every filter and says Uses filters. Today starts with a slim scope note: use Show filters to expand the editor; that choice is remembered on this device. Active filter chips stay visible even when the editor is closed.
  • Win rate on Today has its own timeframe: pick it from the menu next to its title. It ignores the date range, region, matchup and Strategies picks, and keeps the Maps, Players, Length and Hide too-short filters.
  • Today's session and Active streak look at today and your latest games, with the same Maps, Players, Length and Hide too-short filters.
  • MMR shows your current ladder rating and ignores filters.
  • Daily Pulse and Ladder Pulse use their own recent-game windows and ignore the global filters. Arcade also uses its own analysis corpus, without the filter bar.
