Pairing problems

Recover an expired code, confirm the right PC, and fix connection or unlinked-PC problems.

Updated

Find the current code

Use the 6-digit code shown in the SC2 Tools window on your PC. Paste it on Devices; spaces, dashes, and other separators are removed. A code already filled in from an app link is never submitted automatically. Click Link this PC, check the PC details, and confirm.

Codes last 10 minutes. If a code has expired, use the current code from the app. An already claimed code cannot link another account. Only link a code displayed on your own PC; a different-network warning is a reminder to check the source, and is not proof that a PC is unsafe.

Getting a code, expired codes, and connection problems

The desktop card starts with Getting your code…. When a code arrives, its countdown shows how long it can be used. Link this PC in your browser opens Devices with the code filled in; Copy code lets you use another browser. Codes refresh automatically before expiry, and Get a new code requests one immediately.

If the card says Can't reach sc2tools.com, check your connection and leave the app open. It keeps trying with increasing pauses; Retry now tries immediately. Open activity log shows the error details. This code expired means the old code is no longer usable: choose Get a new code. After linking, a green Paired - syncing starts now confirmation appears briefly.

This PC was unlinked

Unpairing a PC on Devices stops it from syncing. The desktop app confirms that its device link is no longer authorized, then holds queued uploads and shows This PC was unlinked from your account. Click Link again, confirm the new code in your signed-in browser, and syncing resumes. Your replay cursor, queued files, replay folders, and settings are kept; you do not need to erase local data or reinstall.

Paired but still waiting

After linking, the page checks for the new app connection every few seconds for up to a minute. Paired — waiting for the app to check in means the account link succeeded but the app has not checked in yet. Keep SC2 Tools running and check that the PC can reach the internet.

Online, offline, and update badges

Online means the app contacted SC2 Tools within the last three minutes. Offline shows when it was last seen; the PC may be asleep or the app stopped. Update available appears when the reported version is older than the latest stable release. Open Download to update.

Another PC or an old account

Each PC gets its own code and appears as its own card. An optional label can distinguish them. Choose Unpair on an old PC and confirm in the dialog; that PC stops syncing until linked again. Existing games stay in your account.
